The Easter Bunny is coming and so are bright colored eggs for your children to gather and squeal over. Here is a list of just some of the Easter Egg Hunts happening throughout Connecticut this March and April. See below for special events and breakfast with the Easter Bunny. Don’t be late! The Crystal Mall is hosting its annual Easter celebration festivities at , offering families the chance to participate in traditional and unique seasonal events. The Bunny Photo Experience begins Friday, March 4 and runs through Saturday, March 26 in Old Navy Court.  Kids will have the chance to visit with the Bunny and take home a treasured snapshot of the fun occasion. The presenting sponsor for the 2016 Bunny Photo Experience is The Gymboree Corporation – including its Gymboree and Crazy 8 clothing brands.

Stew Leonard’s Easter Extravaganza

Children age 9 and under will be given a map of Stew Leonard’s and a bag to collect eggs from costumed characters throughout the store, including Wow the Cow, Cynthia Chick, and Daphne Duck among others. Each egg contains prizes ranging from candy and board games to toys and gift cards.  One lucky child will win the Egg Hunt’s top prize: a $250 gift card to Toys R Us! Parents please note: some of the candy included in the eggs may contain peanuts. After the Egg Hunt is complete, parents are invited to take photos of their children with the Easter Bunny. The Easter Egg Hunt Eggs-Travaganza is free to the community.

Golden Egg Hunt (see page 23)

Time: Younger children hunt will begin at 7:00p.m. Older children hunt will begin at 7:15p.m
Raindate: Friday March 11, 2016.
Location: Doolittle Park Playscape, Wallingford, CT

The event will be held at Doolittle Park Playscape. The event will be divided into two age groups children 1-5 and children 6-11. Plastic filled eggs, candy along with 9 special GOLD EGGS for each group will be spread throughout. Participants are asked to find only ONE Gold Egg. Once found you may redeem your prize for the golden egg at the table at Doolittle Park. Parents are asked to bring a basket and a flashlight for their child.

Easter Bunny Visit at the Crystal Mall, Waterford
Time: 10:00 t o 11:00 am

On Sunday, March 13 from 10 to 11 a.m. many steps will be taken to reduce sensory triggers, creating a more comforting environment for children’s cherished visit with the Bunny. The subdued environment is likely to include (specific elements or aesthetics may vary): Turning off in-mall music, stopping escalators located near the photo set and dimming the lights for the duration of the event. Eliminating queue lines through the use of a numbering system whereby guests approach the set when their number is called. Special activities geared toward the needs of the child during the ‘wait’ period to help the child understand what activities will occur during the visit.

Simon Kidgits Easter Spectacular

Now that spring is nearly here, Crystal Mall is ready to celebrate with a special event, Simon Kidgits Easter Spectacular, taking place on Saturday, March 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the event, children will enjoy one-on-one visits and photos with everyone’s favorite bunny and participate in various spring and Easter-themed activities. The fun-filled festivities will include arts and crafts projects, special games, giveaways and family-friendly entertainment.

Simon Kidgits Easter Spectacular is free to attend for members of the Simon Kidgits Club, a fun and informative program that focuses on health, wellness, education, safety and entertainment for children ages 3 to 8. Since 2003, the Simon Kidgits Club has kept children and parents alike amused with various events and activities.

Join the team at Stew’s for a special Bunny Breakfast, hosted by none other than the Easter Bunny himself, on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Stew Leonard’s chefs will offer a breakfast of fruit, bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, pancakes, juice and coffee. Each child will receive a Stewie the Duck book as well as Easter Coloring Activity sheets. Children are also welcome to take a photo with the Easter Bunny and Stew’s costumed characters. Reservations for the Bunny Breakfast must be made in advance at Customer Service. This magical experience takes place on the historic property and sprawling grounds of Waveny Park and includes 10,000 Easter Eggs, Mr. & Mrs. Bunny, the Dixie Land Band, bounce houses, bunny ears, face painting and lots and lots of cupcakes. In the event of inclement weather the Easter Egg Hunt will take place on the same day at New Canaan High School.

Woodbury Egg Hunt

Hippy-hop to Olde Mistick Village to meet Mr. Bunny! He will be in the Gazebo on the Village green for a special egg and hug for two year olds and younger from 12 Noon to 1 p.m.

Then the “older” kids will have their chance to “hunt” for eggs in the Apple Orchard. It’s always according to age:

Rowayton Community Center Easter Egg Hunt

Hop on over to the Community Center, rain or shine, to meet the Easter Bunny and participate in RCA’s annual Easter Egg Hunt.
