Connecticut Kids: Niantic McCook’s Point Park Playground

When the weather is warm in Southeastern Connecticut, McCook’s Point Park is the perfect place to visit with the kids. Why? Because along with free parking during the winter season, there are beautiful views, a quick and scenic walking trail, and a great playground area for the kids.

If you haven’t visited McCook’s Playground lately, you may not know that they added a new community built playscape across from the baby swings. The kids will have an awesome time climbing and sliding down the new playscape. There are also 3 additional playscapes and 3 sets of swingsets for all abilities at McCook’s Park in Niantic.

In the summer there is a parking fee, but it’s worth it to get access to the sandy beach and playground area. A public restroom building is located in the middle of the park, but it is not always open. Additional access to McCook’s Point Park is available from the Hole in the Wall beach.
