Krispy Kreme® Announces Their Signature Coffee Blends: “Worthy of Our Doughnuts!”

On September 1st, Krispy Kreme announced the launch of their new Krispy Kreme Signature Coffee Blends.  These blends are available at participating U.S. and Canada locations. They are offering three specially crafted coffee blends, which are “WORTHY” of their one-of-a-kind doughnuts.

“From medium to full-bodied flavor, each blend features a smooth, distinctive flavor profile made from 100% Arabica beans,” explains Ron Rupocinski, Krispy Kreme’s Corporate Chef. “Pair it with any of our delicious doughnuts for a rewarding taste experience.”

The following blends are available in 12oz, 16oz and 20oz cups, a 96oz Brew Box and 12oz freshly ground retail bags for home brewing:

  • Krispy Kreme Signature House– A smooth, medium-bodied, Latin American blend with a balanced flavor profile for the everyday coffee drinker. Make it a special treat with a hot Original Glazed® doughnut.
  • Krispy Kreme Signature Dark Roast– With a dark roasted, full-bodied flavor, this blend of African, Indonesian and Central American coffees was made for those who prefer a bolder coffee taste. Try it with a signature cake doughnut.
  • Krispy Kreme Signature House Decaf– A decaffeinated blend of Columbian and Sumatran coffee with all the taste and none of the jitters. Make it a special occasion with a delectable filled doughnut.

As part of the launch of their coffee, Krispy Kreme will celebrate the worthiness of its coffee with a “WORTHY” tour.  The tour is in support of local charities and has online opportunities for fans to win tasty prizes.

Krispy Kreme’s kicked-off their tour on September 2nd at Atlanta Motor Speedways, AdvoCare 500.  Approximately 20,000 race-fans received sample packs of coffee and free Original Glazed® doughnuts while helping to raise much-needed funds for Speedway Children’s Charities.

“Giving back to the communities we serve has long been a part of what the Krispy Kreme experience is all about,” says Dwayne Chambers, Krispy Kreme’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Our history helping non-profit organizations is at the core of the Krispy Kreme Worthy Tour. Working with our social media fans and using proven tools like our 55 year old fundraising program, we can make a significant difference in a lot of lives.”

“Know of a WORTHY charity or organization in your community? We do. Krispy Kreme has helped raise over $29 million in support of charities around the country. Share comments, video or photos about a worthy organization you know of with Krispy Kreme on Facebook. The Krispy Kreme WORTHY Tour will provide FREE coffee and doughnuts to three randomly selected WORTHY organizations.”

“You could WIN a grand prize trip to Krispy Kreme’s Hometown. Enter the Last Bad Coffee Face Face-Off on Krispy Kreme’s Facebook Page. Seven weekly winners get a Coffee Face-Off Prize Pack. The Grand Prize is a trip for two to the home of Krispy Kreme Winston-Salem, NC, to see how we make the one and only Original Glazed® doughnut.”

Prize winners will receive a visit by the Krispy Kreme Worthy Tour to their designated organization or charity. There will be three (3) organizations or charities selected. The Krispy Kreme Worthy Tour prize visit will include a party staged by Krispy Kreme. The visit includes Krispy Kreme doughnuts and Krispy Kreme Signature Coffee, which could include multiple brew boxes or bags of Krispy Kreme Signature Blend Coffee. The selection of doughnuts and coffee will be and based upon the product availability at the Krispy Kreme factory store or commissary nearest to the selected organization’s or charity’s location. Up to 150 party attendees will also receive a “Krispy Kreme Worthy Tour” t-shirt.
