Vitafusion sent me a bottle of their new Vitafusion Calcium Gummy Vitamins for adults to review. We were not compensated for this review and all opinions are 100% our own.
The recommended Calcium intake for adults is:
- 19 – 50 years old 1,000 (mg/day)
- 51 – 70 year old males 1,000 (mg/day)
- 51 – 70 year old females 1,200 (mg/day)
- 71+ years old 1,200 (mg/day)
If you are not drinking a lot of milk or eating a lot of cheese, yogurt other dairy products daily you may not get the recommended amount of calcium your bottle needs. Taking a calcium supplement could be the answer. Most calcium supplements tend to be large, white pills you have to choke down but there are other options as well. One option is the Vitafusion Calcium Gummy chews.
Even adults like to take things that are pleasant tasting and when they are we tend to use them more. I don’t know about you but I hate choking down pills, especially large ones, and for some reason the Calcium pills I get a large and often hard to swallow.
I was happy to try this alternative and after trying them I find that I do like them and will search for them in my local store. I like the fact that they are available at Walmart, Target, and all major grocery stores. You can use their handy map to find a store in your area.
The Vitafusion Calcium chews have three different flavors in the same bottle – orange (taste like an orange creamsicle), grape, and cherry. They are easy to chew and swallow and taste great. You have to be careful that you don’t start eating them like candy. You can only take 2 per day. Because I need more calcium than the 2 piece serving size I would actually be able to take 4 a day. There are 60 gummies in the bottle
After reading the supplement facts on the side of the bottle I really like that they use natural flavorings and color and not dyes to achieve the color. Dyes bother me a lot of the time and they are unnatural. And, these supplements are gluten, milk, egg, and nut-free so that is a plus for those people who have allergies.
They do add a bit of sugar so for those of you who do not want the added sugar in your diet you may not like these Vitamins. It doesn’t appear to be that much though, 5 grams per serving and you are getting benefits from these supplements that probably outweigh the sugar they add.
Supplement Facts from the bottle:
Serving size 2 Gummy vitamins, 30 servings per bottle: Calories 25 per serving, 5 grams of sugar, 1,000 IU of Vitamin D, 500 mg Calcium, 125 mg Phosphorus, 15 mg sodium
Other ingredients include: glucose syrup, sucrose, pectin, natural flavors, lactic acid, citric acid, and colors (carrot and blueberry juices, black carrot juice extract, annatto extract)
This product contains natural colors and flavors. Contains no wheat (gluten), milk, egg, peanuts, tree nuts or soy.

LOVED your calcium chews!! Why did you change the formula? Last bottle I bought I returned because theywere hard and too chewy. You ruined a fabulous product.
