Toms of Maine Simply White Toothpaste Review

I have to admit, I have been a Crest toothpaste user most of my life so when Tom’s of Maine wanted me to try their all natural whitening toothpaste I wasn’t quite sure. I have used whitening toothpastes and those Crest white strips and they actually make my teeth so sensitive that I have to stop using them.

I do drink coffee and fresh brewed iced tea everyday so my teeth do get stained from that.

I have been testing out Toms of Maine whitening toothpaste for about 2 weeks ago and I find that it does whiten my teeth and it doesn’t make them sensitive. I’d say it works as good as other whitening toothpastes but don’t expect it to be like white strips. I think they do whiten much more but maybe I am wrong but they do it to the extreme and maybe strip something off your teeth and that is why they make them sensitive.

This toothpaste also contains fluoride to help protect your teeth from cavities. I was also surprised that it is just as good as other toothpastes I have used and makes my mouth feel clean. It is the first toothpaste I have ever used that make my teeth squeak – kind of like your hair does when you wash it.

I do like the fact that Toms of Maine does not test their products on animals or use animal ingredients. They don’t use artificial colors, flavors, fragrance, or preservatives. And, they try to maximize recycled content.

I read on the Toms of Maine website how they  donate 10% of their pre-tax profits to charitable organizations supporting the environment, human needs, the arts, and education and they encourage their employees to use 5% of their paid time volunteering at nonprofit organizations of their choice.

This product proves to be a winner in my book. Of course, I can’t promise that I will switch brands but the Toms of Maine toothpaste is comparable to Crest and other brands and I like what they are doing to be a responsible brand.

You can find Toms of Maine at local grocery, big box, and drugstores and at tomsofmaine.com

I love Tom’s of Maine. I buy their “wicked fresh” toothpaste and the whole family uses it. I’ve gotten some good deals on it lately with the $1.00 off coupons that came out several weeks ago.
