Easter Baskets Decorating Ideas with Hershey’s Candy

Easter Baskets are better with Hershey’s candy. Fill up a colorful basket with Hershey’s candies like a big ole’ Reeses Peanut Butter egg, Hershey’s Snapsy Chocolate bunnies – that make sharing easy, our favorite Cadberry Creme Eggs or a larger Cadbury chocolate Easter bunny, and try new Jolly Ranger Soft and Chewy Sour Bunnies – my new favorite.

Add plastic Easter basket grass to the bottom of the basket, fill it with your favorite Hershey’s candies, set the basket on a sheet of clear plastic sheeting, and then tie it up with a ribbon. The kids will be super excited come Easter morning.

  • Flashlights for each group or participant
  • Paper bags in a variety of colors: blue, green, pink, purple & green
  • Plastic eggs
  • Sticker paper or cardstock (color is best when printed on glossy paper)
  • Scissors
  • Green Easter grass
  • Double sided tape
  • Assorted Easter candies from Hershey and HERSHEY’S chocolates

Kids of all ages love to hunt for hidden treasures! This egg hunt is perfect for indoors or out as weather permits. Children can enjoy this hunt on their own or as a group or team.

1. Fill plastic eggs with Easter candies from Hershey and HERSHEY’S chocolates. To create some extra fun, print out the lightning bug stickers, cut them out, and place them into random eggs.

2. Print out the lightning bug stickers and adhere to the paper bags. (For the best results we recommend Sticker Project Paper from Avery #3383) Place green Easter grass into each of the bags.

3. Next print the flashlight wraps on cardstock and cut them out. Attach the wrap to a small flashlight and use a little piece of double sided tape to secure the ends.

4. After the eggs are hidden, give each child a flashlight and a paper bag, give them a set amount of time to find all the eggs that they can, and let them go.

5. Once the egg hunt is over, ask the children to count and open their eggs, the child with the most eggs and/or the child that finds an egg with a lightning bug sticker will receive an extra special treat, we suggest a HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bunny.

1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line muffin cups (2-1/2 inches in diameter) with paper baking cups.
