Olivia Transforming Playset and Plush Doll Review

From the best-selling children’s book and the hit Nick, Jr. TV show, Olivia inspires kids everywhere to think boldly and follow their dreams. Spin Master has taken Olivia’s bold personality and extraordinary imagination, and infused it into a collection of toys for children ages 4 and up.

As a Team Mom I was asked to review and test out a couple of Olivia toys. Since my kids are long grown I asked my neighbor if his young children would help me out with the reviews. They were more than eager to test out the Olivia toys and this is what they had to say.

Remember, these reviews are coming from an 8-year-old child so it will be quite different than a review from an adult.

Olivia 2-in-1 Transforming Playset Review

The Olivia Playset is a 2-in-1 Transforming Playset and it includes an Olivia figure and base, 23 accessories and one sticker sheet to decorate Olivia’s room. You can purchase the set online at Amazon.com

and locally at Toys ‘R Us, Target and Kmart and is designed for ages 4 and up. The Olivia playset transforms from a house that has a bedroom, kitchen and living room to a pirate ship, which is a neat idea because it gives the child several ways to play with it.

What I liked about the Olivia Playset: I think that it is awesome and just wonderful. I like both houses that I can make. I like the stickers and different furniture too.

What I disliked about the Olivia Playset: It was hard to figure out how to open and transform it from a pirate ship to a regular house.

Olivia 8″ Plush Doll Review

The Olivia Plush doll we received was the Olivia Artist pig and it is available online at Amazon.com for $16.99. It is also available locally at Toys ‘R Us, Target and KMart. There are lots of other Olivia plush beanies available too.

What I liked about the Olivia Plush doll: I think that it is creative and I like the art shirt she was on. I also like the French hat that she is wearing on her head. Because she was a stuffed animal she was fun to play with.

What I disliked about the Olivia Plush doll: The only thing I don’t like is that it is beany so I have to keep it away from the dogs. This was because it had beans inside. It would be better stuffed with cotton.

It’s interesting to me that a child would think about what is inside of the doll and decide that it would be better that the dog not chew it up. Personally, I think it is fine that these are made with beans inside because they are really supposed to be beany dolls.

FTC Disclaimer: I received both toys from Team Mom to review and test out. I was not paid and all opinions are my own.
