The Mohegan Sun Brewfest Is Happening This Weekend

This weekend, get a babysitter and join us at the Mohegan Sun Casino’s annual Brewfest. With hundreds of beers, many which are local to Connecticut and other New England states, you will be able to drink your favorite brew and try out some new varieties.

Taste up to 150 different types of draft, import, micro and domestic beers and ciders. Entertainment will be provided by Chris Mackay and the ToneShifters, a New London County, Connecticut based band formed in 2009 that blends high energy blues, boogie,country swing and rockabilly

Angry Orchard

 is a hard cider company located in Cincinnati, Ohio and is owned by the Boston Beer Company. It makes hard cider using apples from Europe and the United States. In its first year, the cider was only available in New England, Colorado, Maryland, and New York.

Blue Point Brewing Company is a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch and located on Long Island, in Patchogue, New York. The brewery offers a variety of year-round beers, and several seasonal brews, as well as a ‘tasting room’ which is open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The largest “craft” brewery on Long Island, the brewery hosts an annual Cask Ale Festival, concerts and other events in the brew yard.

Goose Island Beer Company is a brewery in Chicago, Illinois, that began as a single brewpub opened in 1988 in Lincoln Park, Chicago, and named after a nearby island. Goose Island produces a number of beers that are available year-round, as well as some beers that are seasonal. At different times in the past, the brewery has produced dozens of other beers.

Mohegan Sun Brewfest Connecticut Beers

Shock Top Beer is another brew that is produced by Anheuser-Busch. Shock Top is a 5.2% ABV Belgian-style wheat ale. The beer is brewed with wheat malt, two-row barley, orange, lemon, lime peel, coriander and Cascade and Willamette hops. The brand now includes some seasonals and specialties that have replaced the Michelob Seasonals. Such varieties include Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat, Shock Top Raspberry Wheat, Shock Top Wheat IPA, Shock Top Lemon Shandy, Shock Top Honeycrisp Apple Wheat, Shock Top Chocolate Wheat, and Shock Top End of the World Midnight Wheat.

Thomas Hooker Brewing is Connecticut’s Beer. Named after the founder of Hartford our Ales and Lagers are hand crafted from the finest ingredients. The Thomas Hooker Brewing Company, located in Bloomfield, is Connecticut’s local brewery with a national reputation.
