Nissan is taking their electric car, the “Leaf” on tour at various locations throughout the United States during 2011 and early 2012. You will learn about the Leaf and also have the opportunity to take it for a test drive through a specially-designed obstacle course they have setup at each tour stop. The Nissan Leaf is 100 percent electric, requiring no other type of fuels.
We had a chance to stop by their West Hartford tour stop on July 24th and here is what we found out.
At the tour you will be able to view several displays about the Leaf, talk with LEAF experts, see the other new things from Nissan and get up close and personal with the Nissan LEAF.
Leaf experts will teach you about things like:
- The battery system and charging methods
- Nissan LEAF technology and how it comparison to other vehicles
- How you can use your phone or computer to interact with the LEAF
- Efficiency and operating costs
- Environmental impact
- And see available LEAF’s accessories
Finally, you will be able to experience the Leaf first-hand by taking it for a test drive. The drive will take place on a pre-planned course, but is designed so you get the feel of how it operates in normal city traffic. A Leaf expert will accompany you as you drive to answer your questions and explain the interior features of the car.
