Want to get up close and personal with the animals at Mystic Aquarium? Do you and your child like to paint? Mystic Aquarium is hosting a Canvas & Cookies: Happy Feet event on Friday, February 26th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm and you’re invited to attend. The evening begins with an inspirational peek at how Mystic Aquarium’s animals use painting as an enrichment activity. Not just on video – the animals be one right there for you to watch!
The evening begins with an inspirational peek at how one of Mystic Aquarium’s animals use painting as an enrichment activity. Get up-close to this marvelous creature and learn about the species during a private meet-and-greet session. Guests will be entered into a raffle to win the masterpiece created by the animal at the start of the event. Enjoy light snacks as an instructor from TDP Art Studios guides each artist through the creation of a beautiful animal-themed painting. And remember, you’re being creative for a cause. A portion of the proceeds from every event ticket sold goes to support Mystic Aquarium’s One Ocean, One Mission initiatives towards conservation, education and research.
Watch as one of Mystic Aquarium’s African penguins waddle across a canvas as part of a unique enrichment activity. A penguin trainer will share information on how this activity benefits the penguin’s health and why conservation efforts are crucial to the well-being of this endangered species. This family-friendly event includes snacks and soft drinks. Purchase a ticket to watch your little artist at work or to create your own masterpiece as well.

Full Painting Ticket (Adults & Children) $35.00 per person $30.00 member/staff rate
Chaperone Ticket (adults only) $10.00 per person

**All children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult with an event ticket!
