Review of Keebler Jumbo Fudge Sticks

I had to write this to review so you wouldn’t waste your money on this snack. I am a sweet treat lover and have been all my life so when a new snack comes out I am the first to try it. I bought these, without a coupon I might add, yesterday at Walmart because they looked so yummy. Boy, was I wrong.

I had in my mind that the Keebler Jumbo Fudge Sticks were going to be like their regular-size Fudge Sticks, which I do love, or I think I do. Maybe they have changed those too I might not like them either. I haven’t tried them lately. With that in mind I thought the Jumbo Fudge Sticks would be a winner. When you bite into these Jumbo Fudge sticks what you see inside is layers of cookie with icing in between. They remind me of sugar wafers but that is where the comparison stops. They have little or no taste at all. The chocolate outer layer taste like imitation chocolate and inside all I taste is sweet.

It is rare that I turn down a snack so I thought, I will give these a second chance. The second one I ate cemented into my mind that I will not buy these Keebler snacks ever again. The taste so bland and almost stale that I wish I hadn’t spent $1.98 on them.

Sorry, Keebler the Jumbo Fudge Sticks are not a winner but hey, I still love almost all of your other snacks so you still have a loyal fan here.

Craving Ice Cream? How About Nestle Lil’ Drumsticks

I saw these little guys in the Commissary this past week and had to pick them up. They looked like they wanted to be eaten and I love ice cream. I also love the regular-size Drumsticks so I know how good these would taste. And, I had a $1.00 coupon so all the much better to save myself some money and get a sweet treat.

The Nestle Lil’ Drumstick is the perfect size ice cream treat when you want a snack but don’t want to eat too much. In about 5 bites you can gooble this tasty treat up and not ruin your appetite for dinner.

There are 10 tiny cones in a box and the cost is around $3.99 I believe, cheaper at the Commissary of course and much cheaper with a coupon. I think I found the coupon in the All You magazine, either February or March 2011 issue.

There are two types of ice cream drumsticks in the box – Vanilla with Chocolatey Swirls and Chocolate with Chocolatey Swirls. So delicious and the perfect snack size. The box says there are 140 calories in each so not too much fat either.

4 Tips For Popping Better Microwave Popcorn

If you’re going to eat microwave popcorn, here are 4 tips for popping better microwave popcorn so you don’t burn it and stink up the microwave and the kitchen.

Tip #1: For improved results, pre-heat a cup of water on high in the microwave for one minute. Remove the cup of water and proceed with popping instructions.

Tip #2: After popping, shake the bag before opening for even distribution of salt and flavoring.

Tip #3: Stopping and starting the microwave while popping can reduce the number of popped kernels. Set the timer for longer than you need and just listen for the popping to stop to remove the bag.

Tip #4: If your microwave oven does not sufficiently pop popcorn, try raising the bag off the floor of the oven using an inverted microwaveable plate. Do not use plastic or paper as melting or scorching may occur.
