There is an art to making the perfect snowballs. No two snowballs are the same. To make the perfect snowball make sure your snow has the right amount of moisture, and you pack the snow tightly.
Snow Consistency
Some snow contains a lot of air and less moisture. Fluffy snow isn’t great for making the perfect snowball. If you have fluffy snow then add a little water for the perfect, packable snowball. If you don’t have any water handy, hold the snow in your hands for a minute to warm it up and create some moisture.
Should I Use Gloves or Mittens
Mittens actually keep your hands warmer and that is great when it is cold outside but for making snowballs you need a little warmth from your hands to make that perfect snowball. For making the perfect snowball, use gloves.
How to Pack Snowballs
Scoop up a handful of snow and apply pressure as you rotate the snow in your hands back and forth. Make sure your hands are in the cupped shape to get a good, round ball. Be careful not to pack the snow too hard. You want to hit your opponent now take them out. Snowball fights should be fun.
