Join actress Brooke Elliott, star of Lifetime’s hit TV series Drop Dead Diva, as she hosts Avenue’s Fashion’s Night Out this Thursday at Avenue. Complimentary champagne and hors d’oeuvres will be served during a special in-store fashion show
Avenue, the women’s apparel brand known for their stylish clothing and accessories for real women size 14 plus, are excited to announce Brooke Elliott, star of Lifetime’s hit series Drop Dead Diva, along with style expert, Jacqui Stafford, as co-hosts of the brand’s Fashion’s Night Out party in New York City.
Shoppers, celebrities and press are invited to enjoy champagne and hors d’oeuvres while previewing Avenue’s new fall/winter collection via an informal runway show, featuring 10 real women and styled by expert Jacqui Stafford. Following the show, guests will have the opportunity to try on and purchase their favorite looks and get personalized styling advice from Jacqui. One special Avenue Facebook contestant winner, Deanna L., has won a trip to New York City to attend Fashion’s Night Out and walk in the runway show. Deanna will be personally styled by Jacqui Stafford prior to the event, walk the red carpet and be a model in the runway show.
Avenue Fashion’s Night Out event will take place on Thursday, September 8th, 2011 at 6:00pm at the Avenue store on 3rd Avenue (711 3rd Avenue between 44th and 45th Streets). In honor of the event, the brand will be offering in-store specials during their big fall fashion sale. The first 100 guests to arrive will receive a special Avenue gift bag. ”
Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) is an unprecedented global initiative originally created in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and boos the industry’s economy during the recession. On September 8th 2011, in response to overwhelming demand, Fashion’s Night Out will return to New York City, Los Angeles and over 100 other cities nationwide to highlight fashion and support retail with exciting events that include designer appearances, celebrity guests, fashion shows and musical performances. In the United States, the program is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York.
