The Kung Fu Panda 3 Story

In 2016, one of the most successful animated franchises in the world returns with its biggest comedy adventure yet, KUNG FU PANDA 3. When Po’s long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters.

But when the supernatural villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossible—learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas!

Our Kung Fu Panda 3 Movie Review

The kiddos could not stop talking about how much they loved Kung Fu Panda 3, and they fact that they got to see it in 3D was an added bonus. Both kids have seen the previous two films and really enjoyed them both, so they were very much looking forward to the continuation of the story. Our six year old was happy that all her favorite characters were back, including Master Shifu, Tigress, Viper, Mantis, and Po (and I was happy to learn that the same actors were cast to voice our favorite characters again!). New characters, like Po’s family, and the supernatural villain Kai were exciting and fun for our nine year old. Both girls agreed that the movie was “mostly funny, a little bit scary in parts”, but both said that their friends would love to see it too. I did ask our 1st grader if she thought it would be too scary for other kids her age (some scenes of Kung Fu action and mild violence), and she said “no, they would love it!”
