The Motorola Elite Sliver Bluetooth Headset is one high-powered bluetooth device that reminds you of all the little things you take for granted in technology…quality, useability, simplicity, battery life. The device was designed to be a modern looking piece, one that doesn’t resemble a telemarketers headset, without lacking in performance. It offers exceptional clarity through its HD Audio Plus capabilities and has a unique setting which gives you the ability to adjust the level of background noise going into the microphone.
So, if you’re at a bar when your girlfriend thinks you’re still at work, this might help. Motorola’s headset, if it can really be called a headset, comes ready to roll in a carrying case that doubles as a charging station, keeping your blue-tooth from dying in the middle of those important phone call.
A free app, My MotoSpeak, turns the headset into a talk-to-text master. If everyone in traffic knew you were using this, they would feel a lot safer.
This is one handy bluetooth. These days I won’t even think about using a cellphone without a bluetooth and the Sliver’s abilities make it almost incomparable. The sound quality on phone calls is super crisp and clear while the talk-to-text makes the concept actually applicable. Also, the devices ability to read texts back to you is very handy, especially for driving, but the process can get a bit laborious and you definitely feel like you’re talking to a machine (that can get a little bit awkward if you’re listening to text from your girlfriend or your wife).
Pairing the device with your phone is a cinch, all you have to do is tap the carrying case to your phone and you’re done, as long as the phone has Near Field Communication technology you’re good. My only complaint was that designers just don’t take into account people with less than typical ear shapes when they build these bluetooth headsets. (Cauliflower ear anyone?) But I suppose that can be forgiven.
In the end, Motorola Elite SliverBluetooth Headset is basic and worthwhile. The sleek design is an upgrade to most of the bulky headsets out there and the capabilities are unmatched.
